Bitcoin ATMs without verification - from today up to 1000 eur in spain
ShitcoinsClub, a major operator in Europe, has announced a new limit, and it now does not require identity verification from all its users. Customers will not need their IDs when withdrawing smaller amounts. Several small withdrawals can be made one after the other, but they cannot exceed €1,000 in quick succession.
Anonymous Bitcoin withdrawals and deposits
This was announced by the Twitter account of ShitcoinsClub, one of the most popular Bitcoin (BTC) ATM providers in Europe and Spain. This way, users won't need their IDs when withdrawing amounts less than a thousand dollars while working with the company.
In a subsequent post, ShitcoinsClub reported that this new measure "also applies to several related transactions made in a short period of time." This will allow people to make transactions anonymously, but they have to reckon with the commissions charged by ATMs. These commissions are 0% during the promotion, and outside the promotion they can reach about 8%.
Regulation on anonymous bitcoin
This update is due to the fact that the document Regulation Law 10/2010 of April 28 on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism, published by the Executive Service of the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Monetary Crime, details that "Obligated entities will identify and verify, on the basis of reliable documents, the identity of as many natural or legal persons as possible who intend to establish economic relations or participate in any occasional operations whose amount is equal to or greater than 1,000 euros.
ATMs in Spain
For transactions larger than this amount, people will have to confirm them with their DNI, NIE, residency card or passport. In an interview with the cajero bitcoin madrid ATM website, the company explained the policy change:
"After close consultation with the Spanish regulator, Sepblac, we were able to change our policy to allow customers to make faster transactions while remaining within the regulations. We believe this will make using our ATMs much more convenient. After all, having to take out your ID card and scan it every time you operate a small amount can be quite slow and frustrating."
According to data provided by Coin ATM Radar, it is now possible to operate more than 250 cryptocurrency ATMs. This puts Spain in first place among European countries, surpassing even El Salvador, where Bitcoin (BTC) has been legal tender since 2021.
Anonymous USDT in Spain
It is worth noting that ShitcoinsClub ATMs offer exchanges with Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT) and Litecoin (LTC) cryptocurrencies in addition to Bitcoin (BTC).
It is also worth mentioning that a similar situation persists in Poland - the withdrawal limit is €1,000.
