‍MediaMarkt- a company that invests in cryptocurrencies.

MediaMarkt is a true giant in the electronics market. Its operations cover not only Poland, but also all of Europe. The chain boasts stores scattered in various cities in Germany, Austria Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. The brand's expansion doesn't end there. For several years, MediaMarkt has been constantly investing in new technologies, including cryptocurrencies.

It's been four years since MediaMarkt launched a campaign in Spain to sell Bitnovo, a voucher that allows for the instant purchase of bitcoin. A brochure announcing the new range was issued on the occasion of Black Friday 2018 and delivered to every home in Spain. In this way, everyone on the Iberian Peninsula was able to hear about cryptocurrencies.

Now MediaMarkt is planning another big action. The company's 12 stores, spread across Austria, will feature state-of-the-art Bitcoin ATMs. This is the result of investments the electronics giant has made toward bitcoin and altcoins, as well as a positive response from the government. Austrian authorities were among the first in Europe to accept ATMs for bitcoin.

Bitcoin ATMs will appear in the Media Markt chain

MediaMarkt customers in Austria will be able to use the new Bitcoin ATMs soon. The company has signed an agreement with a bitcoin ATM operator, the Kurant brand. It is a company that operates more than 200 devices in Austria, Germany, Spain and Greece.

Kurant managing director Stefan Girll believes that installing machines in MediaMarkt stores will attract more customers. In addition, the ability to quickly buy and sell bitcoin will increase public awareness of how the blockchain system works. It will also show that using bitcoin and altcoins for payments is fully legal.
